Jeff Sparks Obituary, Death – Pennsylvania Businessman Jeffrey M. Sparks Dies at 69
Jeffrey Martin Sparks, lovingly known as Jeff Sparks, of New Hope, Pennsylvania, died peacefully at home on October 20, 2026, at the age of 69, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, family devotion, generosity, and a successful business he built through years of dedication.
Born on July 18, 1957, Jeff was the son of the late Rusty and Stella Sparks. He graduated from Central Bucks High School East and Middle Bucks Institute of Technology in 1976. Soon after completing his education, he established Jeffrey Sparks Excavating, beginning a career that would develop into a lasting family business.
Through determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, Jeff later purchased Warwick Green Grinders and combined the businesses to establish Sparks Industries. The company became an important part of his life, providing opportunities for relatives, employees, and colleagues to work together and contribute to a shared vision.
For Jeff, business success extended beyond the work itself. He valued the people around him and took pride in creating a workplace where colleagues became friends and employees were treated like family. He welcomed his nephews, son, and daughters into the business, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation. His willingness to teach, help others, and offer practical guidance became an important part of his professional legacy.
Outside work, Jeff enjoyed building and creating things with his own hands. He took pleasure in working on his home, maintaining his pond, practicing masonry, and splitting firewood. Gardening alongside family members also gave him opportunities to share his skills, spend quality time with loved ones, and create memories that would endure beyond his lifetime.
Family remained at the center of Jeff’s life. He shared 36 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Diane (Schofield) Sparks. Together, they built a life filled with family traditions, travel, and meaningful experiences. Their adventures included visits to Sea Isle City, hunting trips, cruises, and vacations with loved ones.
Jeff was a devoted father to Paige Sincovich and her husband, Glenn; Shaun Sparks and his wife, Jessica; Megan Watts and her husband, Jared; and Jillian Tanner and her husband, Jason. He was also a proud grandfather to Wyatt Jeffrey Sparks, Leah Marie Sincovich, and Stetson Steele Tanner. Spending time with his children and grandchildren, including working alongside them, brought him great happiness.
He treasured gatherings with family and friends, particularly Saturday evening dinners with friends and the Sunday family dinners that had brought relatives together for decades. These traditions reflected his belief that time spent together was among life’s greatest gifts.
Music was another enduring passion. Jeff shared a love of music with his brother and cousins as a member of the Ukrainian polka band The Pleasant Aires, which was managed by his uncle, Al. He also enjoyed listening to Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Seger, Phil Collins, Billy Joel, and Elton John.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his honesty, loyalty, generosity, and strong work ethic. He believed in keeping his word, helping those in need, and doing things properly. Whether sharing his time, offering advice, or making company resources available to help someone, he consistently demonstrated concern for others. He was particularly attentive to older people and those facing health difficulties or lacking support, making an effort to ensure they felt remembered and cared for.
Jeff also faced significant health challenges with determination and perseverance. He worked closely with his doctors through appointments, therapies, and treatments, while Diane remained steadfastly by his side, coordinating his care with the support of their family. Their shared strength and commitment carried them through difficult periods.
His Catholic faith was a steady presence throughout his life. Jeff regularly attended Sunday and holy day Mass, including while traveling, and faithfully participated in the Stations of the Cross during Lent. His devotion was reflected not only in his religious observances but also in his willingness to care for others and offer help without seeking recognition.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Diane; his four children and their spouses; his grandchildren; his brothers, Ron Sparks and his wife, Karen, and Ray Sparks and his wife, Lynne; and his sister, Diane Malecki, and her husband, Mark. He will also be deeply missed by extended family members, friends, employees, and colleagues whose lives he touched.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Reed & Steinbach Funeral Home in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. A second visitation will take place Saturday, October 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Carversville Cemetery, with a reception afterward at the family home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to CurePSP, an organization supporting research, awareness, and assistance for people affected by progressive supranuclear palsy and related neurodegenerative diseases.
Jeff Sparks will be remembered for the family he cherished, the business he built, the friendships he maintained, and the many ways he offered support to others. His influence will continue through the generations he guided, the traditions he helped establish, and the community he strengthened throughout his life.
